Jonathan Drew and the rest of the DE crew has returned from our European invasion and it was a tremendous time had by all. We want to thank all our friends and customers around the world who could join us at our events, or at Intertabac.
So what is Intertabac? Intertabac is the annual trade show held in Dortmund, Germany for tobacco products and accessories. It is a chance for customers around the globe to meet with Drew Estate, and work to bring the cigars you know and love to cigar enthusiasts in their region. All the while, Jessi Flores was vandalizing our booth with some sick graffiti and hand painting street signs for our customers.
Speaking of Jessi Flores, at the 2018 Cigar Journal Awards, Jessi was honored for his 20+ years of artistic service to the cigar world with the Outstanding Art award. This is a true honor and in the words of Reinhold Widmayer of Cigar Journal, “This year we have chosen a winner who is unique in the cigar industry… who creates dozens of designs from boxes, for brands, for accessories to merchandise for our pleasure.”
Jessi Flores, head of Subculture Studios, upon accepting the award notes, ” I didn’t believe that art could affect and impact people in this industry. I thought that my vandalism would never get paid, and now I get paid to vandalize. Thanks to Jonathan Drew… and the Drew Estate team for believing in me.”
