Celebrating the 20th anniversary of ACID cigars, Drew Estate announces today the launch of “KUBA ARTE”, a limited edition cigar packaged in a series of seven collectible water tower humidors. Each features art created in collaboration with five of Brooklyn’s most legendary and respected living writers in aerosol art culture.
From an undisclosed rooftop in Dumbo, Brooklyn, Jonathan Drew President and Founder of Drew Estate illuminates, “KUBA ARTE is a groundbreaking project that has never been seen in the cigar industry. For inspiration, we returned to our roots in DUMBO, the origins of Drew Estate and ACID, and meditated from the Brooklyn rooftops finding our Chi. We witnessed a skyline to behold, decorated with water towers, graffiti and of course the illustrious Manhattan Bridge. It was on those rooftops that we spent many of our nights dreaming of what Drew Estate would become, that “KUBA ARTE” was born.”
The ACID ”KUBA ARTE” is a 5 13/16” x 54 limited edition torpedo wrapped in a lush Broadleaf maduro capa, bright Indonesian binder and a blend of hearty Nicaraguan fillers. Each 20 count limited edition water tower is packaged with a Boveda inside and features one of seven unique designs. A total of 1,750 sets of 7 were created for this limited release.
To commemorate 20 years of ACID CIGARS with “KUBA ARTE”, a limited edition celebration of art & exploration, we partnered with five legendary graffiti artists from where it all began — the streets & rooftops of Brooklyn, NYC – who came together to produce art exclusively for these one-of-a-kind water towers that proudly proclaim “THIS IS OUR NEW YORK ACCENT!” The Kuba Arte artist team includes:[table “” not found /]
