Summary
The Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing digital marketing strategies to drive brand awareness, engagement and retain customers. The Digital Marketing Manager works closely with the Director of Digital Marketing to lead a team in creating and implementing effective digital campaigns across various platforms. The individual should be able to assist with integrated marketing campaigns from concept to execution on time and within budget guidelines. This individual may be required to travel/attend to sponsored events.
Reporting Relationships
The Digital Marketing Manager reports to the Director of Digital Marketing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Strategic Development (40%)
- Develop and execute comprehensive digital marketing campaigns and strategies to achieve business objectives
- Support the redesign of our website via the management of 3rd party agency and collaboration with internal stakeholders
- Oversee the creation of engaging and compelling content for our websites, social media, email marketing, and other digital channels
- Participate with cross-functional teams including merchandising, brand management and creative services to continue and enhance process development for the creative presentation of the brand
- Establish community for cigar enthusiasts by evolving the Drew Diplomat brand by developing strategies that build equity such as our Drew Diplomat Discord Community
- Cocreate the foundation for the international digital marketing strategies
- Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in digital marketing
Media & Communications (40%)
- Monitor, review and maintain all digital media and posts on social outlets, collaborate with internal teams to create landing pages and optimize user experience
- Prepare monthly product highlights on each brand using video, photography, podcasts; post on social media outlets; develop copy, press releases, and additional content for website
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop all communication and digital content of company products and for Trade Shows
- Interact with consumers via internal and external social media outlets to optimize brand loyalty and interest
- Participate in the creation of the monthly content calendar, ensure execution and delivery of action items on a timely manner
Reporting & Analysis (20%)
- Monitor and analyze digital marketing performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement
- Responsible for monthly reporting of KPIs, ROI, ROAS and other key insights that will affect ongoing digital strategy
- Leverage media analytics to inform decision making, extracting insight/actions from data and relate the “story” back to client’s business goals while guiding team in optimizations
- Prepare reports for Marketing team with consumer insights and feedback about product issues
- Assist with other projects as needed
Skills and Attributes
- Strong understanding of digital marketing channels, including content marketing, social media, SEO, email, and advertising
- Excellent project management skills and the ability to lead a team
- Proficient in data analysis and tools such as Google Analytics
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a deadline-driven environment

- Knowledgeable with website analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, NetInsight, WebTrends, etc.)
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative suite, WordPress, Microsoft Suite
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript development and constraints
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in digital marketing, with a track record of successful campaigns
- Experience managing marketing agencies to maximize ROI
- Passion for cigars and knowledge of the cigar industry is preferred
- Experience with optimizing landing pages and user funnels
- Experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns
