Cigar Aficionado Names Four Drew Estate Cigars as Best Buys of 2020!
Cigar Aficionado released their Top 25: Best Buys of 2020 article and four of our favorite sticks from Drew Estate were listed! of our favorite sticks from Drew Estate were listed! Each year Cigar Aficionado reviews and re-reviews hundreds of cigars to create both their top 25 and their Best Buy recommendations. The cigars included are the Maduro and Shade Undercrown Corona Pequena and both the MUWAT Nightcrawler and Bait Fish. Their score and tasting notes are as follows:
MUWAT Nightcrawler
Score: 91
Tasting Notes: “This inky-dark robusto draws and burns evenly, forming a white flaky ash. Strong impressions of heavily-roasted coffee bean are balanced by lighter notes of vanilla nougat, cinnamon and nutmeg, giving the smoke a sweet cappuccino finish.”
Undercrown Maduro Corona Pequena
Score: 90
Tasting Notes: “Though the draw is a bit firm, this petit cigar burns well, producing a flaky gray ash. The spicy core is framed by notes of dark chocolate and almond with a touch of mint before the short, toasty finish.”
MUWAT Bait Fish
Score: 89
Tasting Notes: “The unusual combination of sour cherry notes, wheaty cereal, chocolate, cedar and mint are tied together with a coffee underpinning that remains steady throughout. The draw and burn are open and even.”
Undercrown Shade Corona Pequena
Score: 89
Tasting Notes: “Topped with a three-seam cap, this short cigar has a lush draw and even burn that produces lots of creamy smoke. Notes of leather and raw pistachio mingle well with baking spices and a touch of lavender before the spicy finish.”
