In the July/August edition of Cigar Aficionado reviewed some of the smaller ring gauge sizes in our portfolio and loved what they smoked! Both the Herrera Esteli Habano Lancero and the Liga Privada No 9 Petit Corona scored high marks in the summer edition. We would like to first thank Cigar Aficionado for the review, these are some of our smallest ring gauge cigars in our portfolio (The Herrera Lancero is a 38 and the Liga 9 coming in at 46) and though these cigars are small in circumference they deliver big time flavor. The Herrera Esteli Habano Lancero and Liga Privada No 9 both scored a terrific 92! Now for some excerpts from the review:
Herrera Esteli Habano- 92 Rated
“Spice and leather set the tone for this cigar, which shows a piquant palate of black, white and red pepper…”
Liga No 9 Short Corona- 92 Rated
“A small cigar that imparts a very weighty smoke. It’s a spice cabinet of cumin, cardamom, clove and star anise…”
The Herrera Esteli Habano Lancero started as a store exclusive before being released as a limited edition in 2014. The Habano Lancero is back for a limited time as was announced at Freestyle Live Special Edition back in May. We would like to again thank the team over at Cigar Aficionado for their reviews of these smaller but savory sizes.
