Developing Palates Loves the New Undercrown Maduro Corona Pequena
Our pals at Developing Palates did a Team Cigar review of the Undercrown Corona Pequena Maduro. The panel of 4 each took a crack at the newest member of the Undercrown family and loved the result! Developing Palates takes a unique approach to Cigar reviews, instead of using a traditional 0-100 scale they use a weighted scale from 0-10 that encompasses every aspect of a cigar to produce a advanced and detailed summary of the cigars.
All four panelists enjoyed the cigar and Developing Palates contributor Seth Geise summed it up perfectly “…Smoking the Drew Estate Undercrown Maduro Corona Pequeña has resurrected my interest in the brand, and I will definitely be smoking some of the original vitolas the next time I go to the shop. I need some Undercrown Flying Pigs! This is a terrific small cigar and great for when you don’t have much smoking time. There is a lot of flavor in the cigar and the second third is magnificent. It shows great transitioning and depth, and the construction is top notch. I am not going to say it is my favorite Undercrown offering, but the size speaks to me and that will lead to me smoking these often. Job well done!”
The Undercrown Corona Pequena comes in both a Maduro and a Shade. The 4” x 44 petite corona is perfect for a quick smoke when the moment strikes. The Undercrown Maduro Corona Pequena features a Mexican San Andres Maduro wrapper, Connecticut Stalk Cut and Sun cured Habano binder, and Brazilian and Nicaraguan filler leaves. The Undercrown Shade Corona Pequena features an Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade wrapper over a Sumatra binder with Dominican and Nicaraguan Filler leaves.
