Drew Estate Recognized as Large Company of the Year by Cigar Coop and is Named Cigar Brand of the Year by Cigar Dojo

Since 1996, when Jonathan Drew opened a cigar kiosk in the World Trade Center and two years later established La Gran Fabrica Drew Estate in Estelí, Nicaragua, Drew Estate has been innovative, disruptive and blazing new trails in the premium cigar industry. Constantly striving to achieve The Rebirth of Cigars, Drew Estate has ardently pursued its quest to enhance adult cigar consumers’ lives by bringing them unique and never-before-smoked cigars and welcoming anyone and everyone to experience the Drew Estate Lifestyle. With brands such as Liga Privada, ACID, Tabak Especial, Undercrown, Deadwood and Herrera Estelí; and through colorful swag and one-of-a-kind events such as Cigar Safari, Barn Smokers and countless in-store events, Drew Estate has forever made an impressive and positive impact on the premium cigar industry and it has earned legions of devoted fans worldwide.

With the end of a very difficult 2020, Drew Estate begins the celebration of its 25th anniversary in 2021. Thanks to the recognition of two important cigar media companies, the celebration is getting off to a fast start. Within the past week, Cigar Coop announced Drew Estate the winner of its Prime Time Award for Large Company of the Year, and Cigar Dojo named Drew Estate its Cigar Brand of the Year.

According to Cigar Dojo: “Drew Estate rose to the unique challenges presented in 2020 and came out on top. Typically, our Brand of the Year winner earns the honor through a big year of acclaimed cigar releases, yet Drew Estate took another route. Yes, there were impressive cigars, such as the limited Year of the Rat, Undercrown Dogma Sun Grown, and the Deadwood Leather Rose, but Drew Estate made more ground through their consistent presence during the pandemic . . . This kept Drew Estate at top of mind throughout 2020—an unorthodox company improvising in an unorthodox climate without a hitch.” Cigar Coop wrote, “Drew Estate fired on all cylinders and put a smile on many cigar enthusiasts’ faces.”

While the COVID-19 pandemic made it virtually impossible for Drew Estate to connect with cigar smokers in person, the company pivoted to stay connected through a host of virtual events. Through countless virtual store events with its retail partners and Freestyle Live and Sticks & Sips episodes, Drew Estate filled the digital space with entertaining, informative and fun gatherings that allowed it to stay connected with the people who matter most—its loyal and passionate fans.
