Drew Estate’s Flying Pigs Land for Fall Release
Drew Estate announced during its Sept. 28 “Freestyle Live: Special Edition” broadcast that one of its most popular vitolas, the Flying Pig (100mm x 60), is ready to land this Fall beginning in mid-October.

The Flying Pig’s unique size and signature pigtail is based on a photograph in an 1895 cigar salesman’s size selection catalog. These piggy little beauties are limited to two annual releases each year, one in the Spring and one in the Fall, as only a few Buncheros and Rolleras at La Gran Fabrica Drew Estate in Estelí, Nicaragua, are certified to make the cigars.

There are six Flying Pig expressions landing this season. Kentucky Fire Cured, Undercrown Maduro, Undercrown Shade and Undercrown Sun Grown Flying Pigs will be available to all premium cigar retailers. Liga Privada No. 9 and Liga Privada T52 Flying Pigs will only be available at participating Drew Diplomat Program partners.

A savory and smoky treat, the Kentucky Fire Cured Flying Pig features a double wrapper of a fire-cured Tapa Negra leaf at the head and a Mexican San Andres Maduro leaf at the foot, with a filler tobacco blend of rich Nicaraguan and Brazilian tobaccos and Kentucky seed tobacco, grown and fire-cured in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. Kentucky Fire Cured Flying Pigs are presented in 12-count boxes and have an MSRP of $131.40 per box.

The peoples’ champion for more than 10 years, Undercrown was “Born on the Factory Floor,” created exclusively by the blending team at La Gran Fabrica Drew Estate. The Undercrown Flying Pig vitola is available in three expressions: Maduro, Shade and Sun Grown. Boldly showcasing the rich, deep complexity of the famous Mexican San Andres Maduro leaf, Undercrown Maduro is the original Undercrown cigar. More mellow with a lush, smooth and creamy profile, Undercrown Shade features an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper. With an attention-grabbing touch of spice, Nicaraguan tobacco’s zesty and earthy character comes to the forefront in Undercrown Sun Grown. All Undercrown Flying Pigs are packaged in 12-count boxes and have an MSRP of $171.60 per box.

Available exclusively to Drew Diplomat Program partners, the Liga Privada No. 9 and Liga Privada T52 Flying Pigs flaunt the smoking characteristics of the famous Connecticut River Valley capa leaves that star in all Liga Privada cigars. Dense, hearty and intense but surprisingly smooth, Liga Privada No. 9 is a broadleaf bully with a flavorful, rugged and dark capa. Liga Privada T52 is a spicy, bold and full-bodied smoke with notes of leather, caramel, earth and gritty black pepper that features a Connecticut Habano stalk-cut and stalk-cured capa that’s grown exclusively for Drew Estate. Both Liga Privada Flying Pig expressions are packaged in 12-count boxes with an MSRP of $198 per box.
